Have been living in Midwest for 9 years and have begun to discover the mysterious and majestic quality of our vast prairie land. I am contemplating about our existence in the context of our surroundings: In what relationship do we live peacefully and soulfully? Do we know where do we come from and where are we going? Does the land sustain us and keep us at home or do we have other better place to go to? How do we relate to our fellow human beings? These are the questions I seek answers to through my photographic pursuit.
I take photos of people from Saturday farmer’s market, and superimpose them into the landscape of Midwest in order to feed into my own inner landscape about this place: Do they fit and are they comfortable in their surroundings? Do they know where they are going and confident about their existence?
