O friends, do I need to tell you more about my past?
Do I have to tell you the time and place?
So you know?
Do you need to see the sun and the moon?
To know it is there.
Do you need to touch the undulating ocean?
To know it is water but not rock.
Isn’t it all here and now?
Girl into woman,
Woman into old
Memento mori into living being
Memory,
Past and present,
Which is real?
Could I see and touch them?
If I could not, are they real?
Do I have to tell you? Friends!
Don’t you know just by looking at me?
Or the images I made?
The Memory Series are based on Lei’s nostalgic remembering of her college days in China.
